The exciting transition from baby teeth to permanent teeth
The arrival of the tooth fairy is an exciting milestone in any child's life. The loss of a baby tooth and the arrival of a permanent one are moments filled with magic and joy. At Tropicana Medical Center, we love to be a part of this exciting transition and make sure that the dental visit is a positive and educational experience for your little ones.
Tooth fairy tale
Pepito Perez was a little city mouse. He lived with his family in a little hole in the wall of a building. The hole was not very big but it was very comfortable, and there was no lack of food. They lived next to a bakery, and in the evenings he and his father went to get flour and whatever they could find to eat.
One day Pepito heard a great commotion upstairs. And like the curious mouse he was, he climbed and climbed through the pipes until he reached the second floor. There he saw a lot of appliances, armchairs, flowers, pictures... it looked like someone was going to move in there.
The next day Pepito went back upstairs to see what it was all about, and discovered something he liked very much. On the top floor there was a dental clinic.
From then on, every day I went upstairs to watch everything that Dr. José Mª did. I would watch and learn, then watch again and write down everything I could in a small cardboard notebook.
Then he practiced what he knew with his family. He cleaned his mother's teeth very well, he cured his little sister's toothache with a little bit of medicine... And that's how the tooth fairy became famous.
Mice came from everywhere for him to cure them. Country mice with a little bag full of food for him, city mice with a hat and a cane, small mice, big mice, fat mice, skinny mice... They all wanted the tooth fairy to fix their mouths.
But then old mice with a bigger problem started coming in. They had no teeth and wanted to eat nougat, nuts, almonds, and everything they couldn't eat since they were young. The tooth mouse thought and thought how he could help these mice who trusted him.
And, as almost every time he had a doubt, he went up to the dental clinic to look. There he saw how Dr. José Mª was giving an old man great teeth. Those teeth were not people's teeth, they were made in a big factory for the dentists. But those teeth were huge and they were useless to him.
Then, when he was about to go home without finding the solution, a little boy appeared at the clinic with his mother. The boy wanted the doctor to remove a baby tooth so that the big, strong tooth would come in quickly.
The doctor took it out and gave it to him as a souvenir. The tooth fairy found the solution: I will go to that boy's house and buy him the tooth, he thought. He followed him all over town and when he finally got to the house, he met a huge cat and couldn't get in.
The tooth fairy waited until everyone was asleep and then went into the boy's room. The little boy had fallen asleep staring and staring at his tooth, and had put it under his pillow.
The poor tooth fairy had a hard time finding the tooth, but he finally found it and left the boy a nice present. The next morning the boy saw the gift and was overjoyed, and told all his friends at school.
And from that day on, all children leave their baby teeth under their pillow. And the tooth fairy picks them up and leaves them a nice present in return. And that's the end of the story.
