Care process for the placement of dental implants:
From the first consultation, whether virtual via WhatsApp or in person, our team focuses on explaining the dental implant placement process in detail. We want you to feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.
The patient contacts the medical center and a specialist addresses the patient's case immediately. In case of being outside Costa Rica or outside the GAM, a video call with the specialist is scheduled.
As a first step, when the patient arrives in person at the clinic, a CT scan is performed, which is a 3D examination that allows us to see the quality and quantity of bone, nerves and the supporting structure. This allows us to diagnose if the patient can or cannot have an implant placed.
This implant must be inside the patient's mouth for approximately four months, this period the implant is submerged in the bone, without causing pain or discomfort. During this time the implant will be healing in a process called osseointegration.
After four months, the patient must visit the Tropicana Medical Center again to place the crown on the implant. At this time, the patient will be fitted with the missing piece.
The whole process detailed above has an approximate value of $1200 for implant placement and $950 for the second stage of implant rehabilitation where the missing piece is placed on the implant, which may vary according to different factors.
